• Marrakesh is a safe place to be in general
• Don’t be scared if you get lost and start wondering across the city. Not all streets are on the map, but don’t worry, you’ll be ok.
• When you are in a crowded place, beware of pickpockets
• Be careful when you are crossing the road. Pay special attention on motorbikes.
• If you take photo of someone, be prepared if they ask for money in return because you took picture without permission.
• Watch out for the fake guides. They ask you where are you going and then they tell you the road is closed, and offer you some other road. They will ask money for the “service” they provided.
• Be prepared to haggle. Never offer the full price. Be friendly, but firm
• You should wear comfortable shoes because you might walk a lot
• It is recommended to wear clothes that will cover your knees and shoulders in order to show respect to local customs
• Always agree on the price before getting in the taxi.
